Hello, Teabaggers. Anybody home?

A new poll indicates that more Americans favor a balanced approach to reaching a deal resolving the nation's budget deficit.

According to a CBS News Poll released Monday, 66 percent of Americans say an agreement to raise the amount of money the nation can borrow should include both spending cuts and tax increases.

More than half of Republicans say the agreement should be balanced and roughly seven out of ten Democrats and independents say the same.

More tea party supporters also agree, since 53 percent say any deal should include both spending cuts and tax increases.

Boehner is currently trying to rally the troops even though he knows that a house republican bill is doomed for certain in the Democratically controlled Senate. His strategy is that this will allow he and McConnell to force more compromise favoring the Republican position in the finaly bill. The hard line stance by teabaggers has undermined Boehner's position and strategy seriously. If he can't get a vote agreeing to his proposal then he will have to negotiate with house democrats and moderate Republicans to get a bill approved. Such a bill would far more likely make compromises with Democrats then a Republican bill would and it would give Harry Reid and Senate Democrats a huge advantage in final negotiations.

Teabaggers have essentially thrown Boehner under the bus and are hurting their own party and their country in the process. I hope the American public is paying serious attention here (fat chance of that) cause this is what happens when you vote rigid ideologues into office. They are incapable of governing.

What he should do is go out and make a speech, that will fix the problem.
