What will the Trump administration about Iran?

sear

serene
Iran's got some political elections in their near future.

Some speculate their recent missile testing was saber-rattling for domestic voter consumption.

But Trump has already said all options are on the table.

Will Trump be the first world leader to use nuclear weapons in war in the 3rd Millennium?

If not, what WILL he do?

He's use to his bluff and bluster winning, when it doesn't he backs down. I don't see him getting support on this, it will be another fail. The other countries will continue to do business with Iran.

I wouldn't deny Trump's ham-handed style.

But let's not be nearly as ham-handed in critiquing him.

Trump knows if he looks weak his first month in office, other contentious & trouble-making nations will be bedeviling Trump for the next four years.

So I suspect Trump may be heavy-handed on this one, and has already said Iran had it easy with Obama.

Further, VP Pence was on FNS this AM, and condemned the deal Secretary Kerry made between Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia, & Iran.

Whether they'll try to renegotiate that or not I don't know.

I see no hope in improving US-Iranian relations, none, but that does not translate into war either.
It's possible there might be some skirmishes - like the patrol boats- but that's ll i see now

So far, it's only been the socialist democrat mass murdering pigs that have actually used Nukes.

Trump may give Israel the greenlight. We've been restraining Israel for decades.

#4,

Interesting point.
I doubt Trump intends to improve U.S. / Iran relations.

Instead I suspect Trump simply wants to improve Iran's BEHAVIOR.

Whether that means setting Tehran on fire or not, I don't know.

But Iran mined the Persian Gulf. That caused U.S. problems, trying to keep OPEC's shipping lanes open.

The patrol boat incident is interesting.

Iran tends to hold their hostages for extended periods. During the Carter administration it was 444 days.

Obama had those patrol boat crews sprung in about one day. Or was it less?

Iran is lead by the ayatollahs. But Iran's secular leader (Hassan Rouhani ?) strikes me as a very s a v v y guy!

I'd be careful about misunderestimating him.

Truman?
I like Truman, the most recent U.S. president to hold the office without benefit of a college degree.

Many military experts and historians claim nuking Japan actually saved lives.

They say based on the battles such as Iwo Jima * about 14 divisions would have been needed to defeat Japan in conventional warfare.

It's counter-intuitive I know. But some way we saved lives by nuking Japan.

* We reportedly lost more troops in that one battle than we lost in the entire U.S. / Iraq military invasion & occupation.

Of course you like the socialist democrat Truman. He purposefully targeted civilians, initiated U.S. involvement in Vietnam and led tne U.S. into the Korean War.

Even if so, that's not WHY I like him. My grandmother met him, and told a fun anecdote about him. Seems like a nice man; even if he did nuke Japan.

BTW
Do you like Christ? Revere the Holy Bible?

"Dear Dr. Laura,
Thank you so much for trying to educate people regarding god's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can.
When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:12 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
But I need some advice from you, regarding some of the other specific laws and how best to follow them.
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the lord (Leviticus 1:9), the problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery as suggested by Exodus 21:7. What do you think a fair price would be? I know I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 19:24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking. But some women take offense. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I obliged morally to kill him myself, or may I hire a hit-man?
I know you have studied these things extensively, and so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that god's word is eternal, & unchanging."
