It was that plus 12 years of pumping money into the economy, about 6 years too many.
Guess who ended QE? There were Republicans screaming for all 8 years of the Obama administration that it was going to cause inflation. Trump thought that also, its why he refused to end it....
Biden bit the bullet and ended it, resulting in inflation.

Interest rates were historically low for way too long. Money was cheap so we had too much money chasing too little products.
Thus inflation.
In fact, Putin's war slashed the availability of gas and oil. That is the big problem. Oil prices make transportation and shipping a lot more expensive.
Of course, the Putin/Trump war cut available food to the world. That raised food prices. That too filtered through the economy adding costs along the way. There was no way to put a lid on inflation with that going on.
It is slowing down now because alternatives have slowly shown up.

Not a business guy so I don't know what QE is but once our government started simultaneously cutting taxes (revenue) and spending more money under Bush the Lesser, our debt has rapidly increased.

Good point. War is always destructive. It's one reason why I think Putin is insane and that the Chinese aren't that fucking stupid. Sure, threats and intimidation are always good, but in the end, the Chinese simply buying their way across the Taiwan Strait and the Western Pacific will work out better for them.

The first thing I listed happened under both Trump and Biden so you are dead flat wrong.
You always mention Biden and the Democrats by name, not Trump or the Republicans. You and I both know why you do this so don't bullshit me about not taking sides, Terry.
You and I both know I not a partisan asshat and that I believe partisanship is weakening our nation. I'm expressly against all those who are seeking to tear our nation down, be they foreign or domestic.
It's my firm belief in our nation's motto; E Pluribus Unum. That our nation is stronger when we work together than when we are cutting each other down. You and I both know this is true. What stymies me about you is why are don't agree.
