American Intel either knows and has kept the info from us or they are too useless to figure it out...either option sucks for us.

We were assured that the opposite would happen with sanctions.

When I watch the American foreign policy brain trust operate over the last few decades I am reminded of my Dad.

Smart money claims that those waiting in the wings are similar to Putin.

I cannot see any successor not wanting to get Russia back on track economically, though. When Putin is gone, it will be quite fashionable to denounce everything that he stood for. And unless the successor is also delusional, there will be an end to empty nuke threats.
