we were SO LUCKY to have gotten Trump

Blitzer: Even members of your own caucus, Madam Speaker, want to accept this deal, $1.8 trillion, Congressman Ro Khanna for example. But let met just quote Ro Khanna, a man you know well. I assume you admire him. He's a Democrat.

And he just said this. He said "People in need can't wait until February, $1.8 trillion is significant and more than twice the Obama stimulus. Make a deal, put the ball in McConnell court."

__________

Pelosi didn’t want a deal before the election because she loathes Trump and because the WH was at risk. The House initiates spending bills and the TDS riddled Madame Speaker controls the House.

Case dismissed.

bullshit. moron. the house passed a covid bill for new spending to replace the first one IN MAY, DUMBASS. mcconnell let it lay there- no negotiations, no vote on the floor....just sitting there...and then he tries to blame it on pelosi months later.

It was riddled with enough pork that Pelosi knew it wouldn’t pass the Senate because—-try and keep up here, Pelosi didn’t want Trump signing a relief bill in an election year.

Fast forward months later, Pelosi *goes against her own caucus* by not backing a 1.8 trillion dollar bill because_________.

I realize you’re a lefty and therefore a slow learner but you should be able to fill in the blank by now.

gawd almighty..
there were never a second bill until it became needed as a CR to fund the government
the 'negotiations' were over the COVID relief package (only) since June

Yes but that's only because Dotard and Moscow McTurtle wouldn't budge on the first bill, so they do have to vote on both, in a short amount of time.

May 15 2020

House lawmakers on Friday approved a Democratic proposal to provide $3 trillion in coronavirus relief that would include a new wave of help for state and local governments, workers and families.

"This is a very strategically planned piece of legislation that is tailored strictly to meet the needs of the American people regarding the coronavirus pandemic," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said on the House floor ahead of the vote. "To do anything less would not be responsible."

Most Republicans derided the bill as a wish list from House Democrats to push ahead of November's election. Bipartisan talks have stalled with the GOP-led Senate and the Trump administration.

Pelosi maintained the measure is focused on reopening the economy, but the plan is dead on arrival in the Senate.

So, now they ended up with this.

December 21 2020

Congress passed a $900 billion COVID Relief Bill Monday night and sent it to President Donald Trump for his approval. With passage of this 5,593 page bill, the government will have injected $3.3 trillion into the economy this year in an effort to counteract the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I said bill, ding bat.

As if making two bills out of it matters. The point is tax dollars would be spent extravagantly on pork while people who are suffering on account of their own governments policy get two nickels to rub together.

Mak8ng it two bills makes it OK to marxists

Trump doesn't give a crap who starves, gets evicted or drops dead of Covid 19. The psychopathic POS just wants attention and to harass McConnell. Not even a Trump cultist is gullible enough to really believe his horse shit. hahahahahaha

I'm amazed at how stimulus checks to the people were bad bad bad bad bad in 2009, but now they're good good good good good good -- if they're approved by the Grifter-in-Chief. :rofl2:

question......given that the government has shut down the country for the last nine months, why shouldn't the country shut down the government until its ready to sit the fuck down and get back to work?......

State governments are in charge of pandemics, not the national government, the states are the ones who have wrecked our economy and caused a Depression to be headed our way.

Apparently, the principle of *wasting* tax dollars at a time like this escapes them.

the republicans are in on the graft, with the exception of a few they are all in on it

it would be wrong to just blame the demalquedacrats

we have a uniparty now masquerading as a two party system

I want it all to burn to the ground. All of it. The sooner the better

true / Obama deserves credit for going Keynesian, when the baggers were yelling deficits.

That whole affair looks quite tame now that our national debt is exploding exponentially ( as the baggers said it would)

We're so lucky we have Trump.... bwahahahaha!

How odd it is that this out-of-control debt and/or deficit seems to always get far worse under (R) presidents. We're lucky we have President Biden. He'll fix it, like the last (D) POTUS did.

Trump is a narcissist and con man, and he's ready to let the country burn because he can't stand losing.

He will go down as the worst President we've ever had, by a mile. The only hope we can have is that he doesn't do more damage in the next 3 weeks.

Why, I always ask, do deficits become so important to Trumpublicans, former Teabaggers, when a Democrat is about to take office?
