We now have solid proof that after Trump and Project 2025, the future of the GOP is Nazism

We now have solid proof that the future of the GOP after Trump is unabated Nazism

I get asked a lot about what comes after Donald Trump. Will the Republican Party go back to its conservative roots? Will it continue on a path of absurdity? Will things get better or worse for Republicans? I always replied with TBD.

These same questions have been raised for years, ever since Trump won in 2016 and took a wrecking ball to the Mitt Romney, George H.W. Bush, and Lamar Alexander moderate conservatism. They look like Democrats today.

Pundits and politicians continue to debate the future of the GOP after Trump, all with different takes, including some who echo my TBD. Well, TBD no more: After a shocking Politico report on Tuesday, we now know the answer.

The future of the Republican Party is unabated Nazism.

The answer is no longer a hypothetical. The next generation of GOP leaders have made it crystal clear what’s ahead, and it is terrifying. Leaked Telegram texts among Young Republican leaders reveal a culture steeped in anti-Semitism, racism, misogyny, and violent fantasies.

It is language so extreme it defies belief. It’s also ruinous, and given how far the U.S. has fallen so far under the reign of Trump, Nazism as a Republican platform is not out of the question.

According to Politico, Peter Giunta, then chair of the New York State Young Republicans, wrote that anyone who voted against him would be sent to a “gas chamber” and boasted of creating “the greatest physiological torture methods known to man.” As Politico explained, he was "referring to an upcoming vote on whether he should become chair of the Young Republican National Federation, the GOP’s 15,000-member political organization for Republicans between 18 and 40 years old."

This is nothing new. During the Bush years liberals were calling him and the Republican Party Nazis (as well as Reagan and Bush Sr). Their base eats it up.

From a partisan perspective, I actually like it. Let them keep focusing on that instead of looking inside their own party and their own issues. That’s better for Republicans at the polls.

So, a strung together, unrelated, series of ancedotes and personal opinion from the senior editor of a mostly LGBTPDQQRSTUV+-&# radical Leftist online magazine in a op ed column says something. I'm sure other TDS radical Leftists ate it up like pigs feeding at the slop trough. Not much reality in it though.

Just another radical Leftist op ed from inside the bubble for other radical Leftists inside the bubble to feed on.

Fuck you asshole. You supported the assassination of your president so, fuck you!

Naziism is a stretch, but you can't deny the rise in bigotry, especially towards Mexican/Central American immigrants. The blame game set upon these people is similar to tactics used by Nazi Germany.

  1. Gene Jacobs: In 2018, Jacobs, who survived the Buchenwald concentration camp, told Newsweek that Trump's America "feels like 1929 or 1930 Berlin". He warned that the emboldened far-right and the mainstreaming of hate reminded him of Germany before the Nazi takeover.
  2. David Moscovic: After surviving Auschwitz-Birkenau, Moscovic said he was disturbed by what he saw on the day of Trump's 2017 inauguration.

Every time I see that, it makes me think you are having a seizure.

You’re right there’s been some ugly rhetoric toward immigrants, and it’s good to call that out. But comparing it to Nazi Germany is way over the top. Every country argues about immigration and border policy. What the Nazis did was mass, organized killing of millions of people. When people toss that comparison around, it cheapens what really happened and shuts down any real discussion.

And let’s be honest, Democrats and liberals use plenty of dehumanizing language toward people they don’t like. Glass houses here.

There’s a certain irony to the fact that the president just delivered a major win for Israel.
In case not everyone is up on their history, Hitler murdered 6 million Jews.
Trump, on the other hand, just became their hero.

So according to Kenneth the Jews love Hitler.

You think Trump is consistent? He could turn on Israel tomorrow and his voters would turn with him. But the Hitler association isn’t about Jews. It’s about power and his perverted take on “strength”, his new favorite word. He thinks a missile blowing boats out of the water killing everyone on them is “strength”. It’s closer to cowardice. Trump used Israel for his own prestige. For his own power. Trump is wresting as much power as he can get. Congress isn’t about to restrain him. It’s going to be up to the country to hold him in check.

It's not just immigrants. It's against every American who stands against Trump and his MAGAts. Don't you find Trump's late night rants on social media weird?

Nazi Germany went on for 12+ years. It started slow, and then built up speed. We will see where we are in 12 years, but we are not moving in a good direction. There are definitely those, like @Stone , who see Nazism as a template.
Nazi Germany didn’t just “build up speed” from heated rhetoric. It was a totalitarian regime that shut down elections, banned opposition parties, and built concentration camps. Nothing happening in America today even remotely compares to that.

People love to throw around the Nazi comparison whenever they don’t like a movement. It might get some likes, but it’s lazy. There’s a big difference between political division and a regime committing genocide.

Additionally, there are people on this board calling for death to all “MAGAts.” Is that not dehumanizing language? Isn’t that what authoritarianism is based on? Isn’t that the mindset Nazism is based on? Yet you still want to claim some moral high ground?

Too funny, Walter.

Hostages returning, peace in the ME.

You cheapen the term, Nazi, when you use it…where are the ovens, Walter?

No one of average intellect would compare the killing fields of Nazi Germany to America.

Where does that leave you, Walter…in terms of intellect?

Focus, Walter.
