the new tack the alarmists are taking is to claim there are spurious requests for their data that are causing climate scientist to not be able to their work. The obvious goal: get rid of FOI requests so the scientists can get back to their work. (of hiding statistical data that doesn't fit the alarmist narrative)

LOL can you imagine a lamer excuse? Their work is paid for by the public. They don't get to hide their data and methods. If they can't handle making their work public, they don't belong in the employment of the public.
 
here's the made up part. Notice how he says he's "heard" of this and then says "if this is true"

They leave out data that refutes their theory. I have posted links to the detailed analysis as well as peer reviewed (for whatever that's worth) papers which detail the fraud.

They replaced tree ring derived temperature data with real temp data at a point where the two datasets met. This was not accidental
 
They are upset that people are checking on them. At least that seems what they are saying.

I do wonder about the wording... It seems totally anecdotal, they even use hearsay rather than evidence.
 
I truly believe they will soon ask to alter the FIOA laws in the UK and shortly thereafter, you'll see a similar altering of FOI laws here in america. This is fairly obvious once you understand how acedamia can set the narrative by excluding opinions that are sceptical of wildly speculative models and the conclusions they yield. What science is supposed to do... stand up rigorously to any and all attempts at refutation. Science is supposed to swat that shit down with ease! where is the convincing science from the warmers? They peddle garbage in garbage out models as if they are divining the future. And they come up laughably short in accuracy. Anybody who still adheres to their dire predictions is an obvious relgious warmer. There's no possible way to accept their decpetive methods and faulty statistical representations unless you like being decieved or you simply can not grasp what the scientists are showing you.
 
If FOIA laws are dismantled it will not be because of this issue, though it may make a plausible excuse.
 
I think the article brings up some valid concerns, whether they have actually occurred or not. Like anything, the FOIA laws CAN be abused. His examples are valid whether they have occurred or not.

That said, ANY time they publish, the data should immediately be available. The methods used described, the underlying raw data provided, how said data was 'adjusted' and the rationale behind the adjustments, etc... if FOIA requests are taking up so much time, transparency in their work will resolve most of the issues. The rest would then likely be the 'abuse' side of the equation he refers to.
 
data and methods are a prerequisite for science to be performed. We know they used data. We know they used some methods to arrive at their conclusions. I don't see how they can call it science without releasing their shit. Meanwhile, they want someone to prove the null hypothesis, that the planet warms and cools naturally.
