Quite absurd and it is transparent (your motives). 20 dead 6 year olds is no reason to even consider the slightest restriction on guns, but any form of fraud in the election process is a good reason to disenfranchise the poor. Obviously, election fraud will never be completely eliminated, so we SHOULD balance restrictions that will protect the process against ill effects on valid voters.

Remember, also, the op is from someone that argues that politics is all about winning. He is not concerned with the will of the voters.
