...How do you believe the present administration and majority party are doing in the cabinet, administration and the legislative bodies as far as governing is concerned? In other words is our government on the right track or the wrong track?
 
FedCo was never designed to be efficient, so I'll get that out the way first.

The administration's trade deals, reduction in regulations and pro-business policies are obviously working as the economy is doing quite well. This is all in spite of many trying to talk it down. Results matter, so Trump's done well.

I like what the cabinet has done with respect to calling out our allies to pay their fair share.

Congress is still on a spending spree, and that's a huge problem. If we can't get a balanced budget and start to make progress on paying down the debt then in the long term we're screwed.
 
The reds know no facts. The NATO allies are supposed to designate 2 percent of their GDP on the military by 2026. They are not going to pay anybody anything. They have been on track. Trump made this shit up.
The debt got a huge jump from Trumps tax cut for the wealthy. He has already added a trillion to it. You can see what his wall will do.
The economy is on the same trajectory it was on when Obama handed it over. Trump has accomplished nothing but taking credit. However, his tariff wars are slowing the economy down, as is his shutdown. That is not going to be pretty in the near future.
Trump still has lots of openings he cannot fill in his administration, including chief of staff. Trump is running a Keystone Kops administration.
Trump will likely get creamed by the Mueller investigation. Rudy has already told us that Trump was lying about Russian business and ties.
Face it, Trump is a crook by nature and deed. He has always seen the laws and regulations as annoyances that have to be skirted.

American society is on the wrong track. The government is otherwise doing ok. It could be better; could be worse.

1) I assume you mean the federal government...
2) It has three parts...
3) The judicial is headed in the right direction since 2016 and hopefully will continue, particularly if Ginsberg turns cold......
4)the legislative is a mixed bag......the senate started moving in the right direction in 2018, but now the house is facing the wrong way......given that the approval rating of congress is in the single digits I think everyone has to agree its about as far down the wrong track as it can get....
5) ah, the executive branch........bureaucracy......what can anyone say about it that is good.........at least we have a president that has made shaking up the bureaucracy a primary goal of his administration.........so I say right track.....

I support Trump and his dealings with China and their cyber-theft. They represent a mercantilist Ethno-State that plans on World Economic Superiority in the Future.
I don't support his pullout of Troops from Syria. It's like snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory.

I've always been concerned about him looking at the Presidency as more a 'Money-Making Operation' than as 'Service to the Country'.

Rich people are doing well. The Stock Market says so, most days.

The average American, not so much though many will argue this because they don't understand yet the true ramifications of Trump's tax cut for the rich.

I've never really been so embarrassed with our politics. The W years were rough with economy issues, and war, but it's like we elected the problem child now. Douchebaggery is the newest political tactic, and it really seems cult like with Trump. I remember the condemnation given to others, for things they couldn't care less about with Trump. I don't think his faithful care what he does.

Greetings and thanks for replying. I have outlines my response. Hope you don't mind.

(Not sure what you refer to as FedCo unless you meant Federal Government and I disagree with never designed to be efficient it was actually meant to operate quite efficiently but it was understood that politics would always be a nasty business even from the very beginning our founding fathers were aware of the human factor. So government and politics will never run like a well-oiled machine but it is efficient when governed as it was intended and that is with bipartisan cooperation at all times.)

2. The administration's trade deals, reduction in regulations and pro-business policies are obviously working as the economy is doing quite well. This is all in spite of many trying to talk it down. Results matter, so Trump's done well.

(As to trade deals I am still waiting to see how that goes once Canada, Mexico, and America (revised NAFTA) have an actual signed contract which has not happened yet. As to trade with China well, the bottom line on that is it’s a mess. Our farmers are still sweating bullets as well as our manufacturers in the steel business and we still don’t know what the outcome will be in the smaller retail sections of any given business.)

(True everyone should always pay their fair share however most of the nations that the WH is referring to are actually paying the originally agreed upon percentage into NATO and other such international endeavors and they have agreed to up the percentage as requested. That being said, when negotiating with allies who you depend on to have your back in a crisis I believe that diplomacy s the better part of negotiations. We must always treat our allies as allies and friends. Be firm but kind.)

(True, True, True. I would also add that we need to bring down our multi-trillion dollar debt to China while we're at it. America’s credit card is thin and raveled at the edges.)

(I agree, the WH did create a false scenario but that is a matter that is so prevalent and well established on so many levels that it is moot at this point to argue it’s a presence.)

(The wall would add 5.7 to 5.8B to the debt but that is not what concerns me. I am more concerned with this overall debt problem and the desire for so many legislators to want to pull money from earned entitlement programs such as Medicare and Soc. Sec. to pay for their agenda’s.)

(I agree with this statement on the economy. The former President did pull America out of a severe recession and we watched it climb and scratch its way back up until finally it was stable and growing at healthy levels.)

(This is a true statement as well. Many administrative positions go unfilled and this may or may not be by design. I’m not sure. The present WH has a knack for desiring to run things all by itself which may be out of an isolationist design I don’t know. But I will say that a government functions best when all of its many parts are in place and working in correlation with all the other parts of the system.)

(This particular subject is a waiting game. Nixon took nearly four years all toll so no telling how long it will take for Mueller to wrap up his investigation. It appears that when he finally has one situation settled he turns over a stone and there’s another situation and on and on. These sorts of investigations are littered with so many spider webs that I don’t know how one keeps it all in order sometimes.)
