Actually, Hume's answer sucks. Most of Trump's base loves him because he's not part of the oligarchy and they see it in the fact that that same oligarchy of money and power has gone after him relentlessly with propaganda and lawfare. Whether you accept that or not, they do. It is your inability to see that that is your undoing.
I can see that and therefore I can filter out the lies and lawfare. That doesn't mean I think Trump is so paragon or something, he isn't. But he isn't the devil incarnate either and much of what he's doing is far better for the state of the nation than the sort of shitfest Obama and Biden, along with the Left want to bring about.
