US Prepares to Lower the Ax On Executive Pay at 7 Firms

Oh I actually agree with you on this Asshat. But repealing the laws of gravity are far more likely to happen.

That defeated thinking is part of your brainwash. Anything is possible.

There is no conceivable way it won't happen, actually.

The vested interests in our corporatist state will see to it that it stays in place. They will make sure with all their power. Is there a way out, but by revolution?

Yep, many people do like those freebies. I don't, because there's always a catch....

There is another part of a story here. Government does provide regulative oversight of business that can be defended. The trouble with government regulative oversight happens when government gets TOO involved. Take financial institutions. They did not just regulate them they gave mandates that forced banks to lend to people, who under older standards, could not have borrowed because of their inability to repay the loan. Then we have the auto industry. The government forced auto makers to meet standards, more mandates. Combine these heavy costs with union demands that are outrageous, and you had recipes for unsuccessful business, corruption, and eventually failure unless there was an intervention. So yeah now we have companies that "are too big to fail" and suddenly the government not only has given those mandates, the government now gets to set compensation packages. Cavuto made the point tonight that we now will have salary caps that will force other companies to follow suit to make/keep themselves competitive with the government mandated and controlled companies and financial institutions; The New Obamulini government. Fascism alive and well…Mussolini should have had such a willing populace!

The government value would be different than the market value. But there is no law of nature that states that the market is the only universal determinant of value. Value is what value is - by threatening force in a way contradictory to the market, you can lower or raise it.
Price controls failed in the past and they will continue to fail. Making companies totally uncompetitive doesn't make anything better for them at all.

What's The Messiah going to do when our most productive citizens just up and leave?
He'll line up the tanks and have a huge parade, driving them down the street to show how much power the government has over them.

From all appearances, Watermark will stand at the side and cheer for the Dear Leader's Army...

Especially one that tries to redistribute health care rather than focusing on the actual problem... the cost.

America has the best healthcare in the world. And that's DESPITE being held back by all of these government regulation. Getting government out of healthcare is the only option.

Actually this is wrong.

The government's monopoly busting powers should be used to bust up the state by state cartels.
