jan 28 3016 A living space under construction on the University of Connecticut's campus is also under fire.

It will be called SCHOLA2RS House, and is a UConn learning community meant specifically for African American males.

Users of the popular website Reddit heard about the concept and some are not happy about it. Online commenters are calling SCHOLA2RS House "racially segregated housing." Others ask where the "Caucasian Learning Center" is.

It's left organizers on the defending an idea that was meant to be pro-active.

HAHAHA. The board notes you evaded the issue and stooped to personal attack. Even you can see it's indefensible to have black-only dorms - unless we also allow white-only dorms.

Yes the idea of black only dorms is against every "inclusionary" thing the school claims to stand for. It's a joke. However it's still funny to see how many brothers go to or went to college when you didn't

Then why the original attack? Just a knee jerk reaction?

Imagine the uproar if it were a whites only dorm?

ScHOLA2RS House is a Learning Community designed to support the scholastic efforts of male students who identify as African American/Black through academic and social/emotional support, access to research opportunities, and professional development. The intent of this Learning Community is to increase the retention and persistence of students using educational and social experiences to enhance their academic success at UConn and beyond in graduate and professional school placement. ScHOLA2RS House will encourage involvement with the larger university community to foster peer and mentor relationships and will actively engage students in inclusion efforts at Uconn.

So you support separating dorms by race now Desh? Should we check the black mens politics before they are allowed in this dorm?
