UAW leaders said they will review all of their legal options and consider challenging the results of a devastating defeat in an election for union representation at Volkswagen's plant in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Going into the election, the UAW thought it had support from a majority of the more than 1,500 workers who had an opportunity to vote.

UAW President Bob King tried to downplay the significance.

"I think it's a temporary setback," King said.

Dennis Williams, who is secretary-treasurer of the UAW and the union's nominee for president, said
"We're not leaving Chattanooga".

They just tried again at my place (CWA). We have a petition stating that they do not have their support signed by 55% of the people in our workplace, and that is just the people brave enough to put their name on it... Yet they still think that with that many willing to put their name on something saying "no" they have a chance.

The Democrat Party needs those campaign contributions.
