Unintended Consequences of Citizens United

My privacy rights.

LMAO... please elaborate. You think they are violating your privacy rights because they don't provide you with all of the coverage you want them to?

Is there a law that says they must add in to their health care plan every provision each of their employees wants covered?

It's ILA.

He changed his name because he ended up on forced ignore with half the board, and voluntary ignore with the other half. He only had Tom to talk to at the end...come to think of it, can't really blame him.

Oh. I thought it really was John Gotti. I guess I'll give him another chance as, while I disagree with him, he hasn't done anything that typically results in me ignoring them.

well then, apparently I lied... I don't have him on IA anymore.

Boy you can't get anything by Darla. I mean she put it together all by herself and everything. It wasn't like I admitted it or anything.

When single payer creates a cookie cutter 'coverage' list... what happens when an item someone wants covered... ISN'T?

It does nothing to change the situation. Unless you go to the 'everything is covered for everyone and we will stick future generations with the bill' plan.

no.

And EVERYONE has a right to refuse compensation. No one is FORCING them to work there. If they choose to work there, they are not FORCED to use the company health plan. If they choose to use a company health plan that does not cover contraceptives, no one if FORCING them to not buy contraceptives. They can still CHOOSE to do so on their own. Or they can choose a supplemental insurance plan that covers the things they want that are not covered under the company plan.

Where did I say any such thing Dune? I said they are free to look for other work if the contraceptive coverage is that big of a deal to them. That doesn't mean it is a good idea to do so.

You think this is a winning argument? Who said anything about force retard? Most people in this country have No choice, they must work to survive.
Still dishonest, still wrong

No, your above ranting has nothing to do with his comments. A person still has the right to CHOOSE. Regardless of whether or not the labor market is loose or tight, the employee ALWAYS has a right to choose whether or not to accept part or all of a companies compensation offer.

That employee still has the right to go buy contraceptives. That does not change. The company is not forcing you to not use protection as the OP insinuated. They are not forcing their beliefs on anyone. They are telling you what they are going to cover... if you are an employee, you can either accept it or refuse it. Or the employee can fight to try and change it.

Of course you would try to twist out of this one too, since it was your lie he ran with.
These "choices you present are false choices, not real to those with kids or their own bellies to feed, a Hobson's choice if you will, or no real choice at all.

How convenient for you that you think that YOUR morality should be legislated. I notice that you don't even question whether your morality is constitutional or not. But, you slipped that in there when it came to discussing my morality. Cute.

How does medical insurance NOT impact healthcare? If it is determining what gets paid for then it does indeed impact care.

When someone else is paying your bills, you will always have less choice. That has always been so.

Personally, I hope you enjoy it. I am immune from Obamacare.

I refuse to buy their approved insurance and I won't pay the fine because the way the law is written, the IRS can't collect it unless you get a refund. I don't get refunds and they have no mechanism to collect my fine. I have set up a concierge service with a local physician that has opted to not accept insurance or Obamacare. He even makes house calls. It is a great use of money.

How convenient for YOU! You have lots of choices, that is good. Enjoy your good fortune.
There are many who have nothing extra to put towards medical savings accounts, private insurance or MDs on retainer. To those people single payer is a choice between life and death. I have seen them die.

Why should I have to subsidize your healthcare? You aren't my concern. Of you die. You die.
