In a time when the Republicans have had total control over all three branches of government for the past 8 years and have caused a recession, he blames the out of power Democrats for the recession, and then says that the Democrats are being unfair for blaming the recession they "clearly caused" on the Republicans.

I mean, this is such a logical cartwheel, it's hard to even comprehend it all at once.

If the Democrats do indeed lower the deficit and do something about the debt, they would probably start to see my vote in an election. Seriously, it would show that the party of fiscal conservatives was not the Rs.

Republicans had 'technical' control of congress for 4 years of the past 60, but lacked enough solid conservative support to stop the liberal spending. And because we had a president who wouldn't stand up for conservative principles on spending, and essentially rubber-stamped anything that came across his desk, republicans get the blame from the liberals who are responsible for the out of control spending! The only thing that we have spent money on which wasn't a liberal idea, is tax cuts and the war, and in both cases, the democrats went along with it.

In Dixieland, a minority of Democrats vote for the Iraq resolution, but they share equal responsibility for the war, and a Republican majority pushes through massive spending, signed by a Republican President, but it's all the liberals fault.
