Ukraine shoots down yet another A-50

I mean STUPID!

Stupid is quoting some two-bit, third-rate, nobody stand up comic hardly anyone has ever even heard of, as if he were some kind of heavy weight social/political commentator.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet is not being decimated, it is deviously hiding at the bottom of the Black Sea:laugh:

And then there's the factory where the A-50's are built which has become a target and been hit as well

There is a definite technological shift happening, and the Ukrainians are at the forefront of it. Drones are coming into their own.

There is a possibility this is just a preview. Imagine swarms of AI driven autonomous drones. They could be unstoppable.

I don't know.

The bigger ones that can carry a payload are pretty expensive and a country would have to have a lot of them in order to "swarm" a target.

And of course, the country being targeted could have its own swarms of drones to fight off the attacking swarms.

I think that, in order to be effective as a weapon, with certain exceptions, the larger drones will always have to be remotely operated by individual pilots.

Smaller, autonomous drones might work well in certain situations but not as well in others.

Of course I have no expertise on the subject, so there's that.... :dunno:

That has recently turned around. The Czechs have found a million shells for the Ukrainians, and that has freed up Ukrainian stockpiles for immediate use. Assumably the shells that the Czechs have purchased are going to arrive soon and replace the stockpiles.

The Europeans say this is good practice for if trump is elected. trump could completely cut off money to Ukraine, and the Europeans could replace all the money (and more difficultly the weapons that money buys) by midway through 2025. That would leave some difficult months of half rations, but probably not collapse Ukraine.

There is one major problem with that plan. The USA has most of the targeting expertise, and equipment that Ukraine depends on. It costs the USA almost nothing to use, but it could be cutoff by trump. That would require a huge investment in things like satellites, and maybe a decade to replace.

trump may yet be able to save Putin.
The USA shouldn't be in the business of standing on the sidelines when a totalitarian superpower invades a European state and an emerging democracy.

There isn't any doubt Trump would like to abandon Ukraine.

Republicans haven't given a dime of aid to Ukraine since taking the House.

I’ll go so far as to say Trump would actually *like* to aid Russia in overthrowing Ukraine.
