The U.S. Navy plans to name a ship after late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in honor of her advocacy for women's rights and gender equality.

"She is a historic figure who vigorously advocated for women’s rights and gender equality," Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro said in a statement on Thursday.

"She is instrumental to why we now have women of all backgrounds, experiences and talents serving within our ranks, side by side with their male Sailor and Marine counterparts."

Trumptards are going to loose their bowels over this news, and will more-than-likely end up banning submarine sandwiches and the color Navy Blue in protest!
 
I think it's wrong for ships to be named after political figures or persons that had no connection to the Navy. It is particularly egregious that we name aircraft carriers after presidents.

Actually, I doubt many will give a shit at all. Guano's multiple hourly attempts at trolling the right leaning members here usually wind up with one of us reminding him how many times he has been banned from other political forums. The dogs' bark but the caravan rolls on.
