WASHINGTON, March 20 (Reuters) - The U.S. Congress' probe of the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol will reveal new details of that day's events and may recommend new criminal penalties for officials who fail to uphold their duties, Representative Liz Cheney said on Sunday.

"There will be legislative recommendations and there certainly will be information" on the attack the public has not yet heard, Cheney told NBC-TV's "Meet the Press."

On Meet the DePressed Cheney was asked if there were going to be any criminal charges coming out of the committee. Cheney then bloviated a bunch of unintelligible gibberish without answering the question.

Translation of Cheney's gibberish: "We couldn't find anything to charge Trump with so we will continue to smear him and his reputation by lying with the PHONY media's help.

Cheney said a top priority will be making recommendations, including possible "additional enhanced criminal penalties." Translation: WE GOT NOTHING.
