Two nervous people waking up today.

Two people are facing new futures today. One has given 8 years of his life in the most powerful position in the world and now faces being a common civilian again. One is now facing taking over that powerful position. Funny how the adjustments to their changes in life are almost equal as far as their personal lives. I was thinking about that this morning. Thought I would share it.

IMO, Trump is very excited to start his new job. He's been chomping at the bit for 2 months now.

And Obama is looking forward to making millions in speaking fees.

But Obama is going to do more then get rich - he promises to be an activist ex-POTUS.

Or go to work for the UN lol.

Yeah, Trump is a classic workaholic. Up at all hours, brain never shuts down. I'm glad I'm not wired that way.

I don't think Obama is nervous about stepping down. He'll be regarded as one of the best POTUS in history especially given the fact that Republicans tied both of his hands behind his back for the vast majority of his terms.

Bush left the White House in shame. He hid in the shadows, and watched as the aftermath of his terms continued to fester....both home and abroad.

When Obama speaks, people listen. He doesn't just spout off like some drunken stand up comedian in orange face with a bad hairpiece.

He has/had respect for the position, unlike the Orange Buffoon.

Yes...it's a big day today. Obama sighs with relief, and the buffoon has to begin at a job that he never wanted. He has very little control of the country, and that won't sit well.

it's my words but here:

Obama Promises to be ‘Very Active’ in Politics After the White House

And this surprises who lol?

Trump's many detractors focus on his narcissistic tendencies yet they're blind to Obama's [hint for his detractors: you almost have to be a little narcissistic to even want the job]. Count the number of times Obama uses the word 'I' when he gives a speech. Or when he castigated the black community for even thinking about damaging *his* legacy by not voting for Hillary.

They're blind to Obama's narcissistic attitudes and Trump's are malignant.

Most people recognize it in both. Trump is just more transparent and Obama's is more subtle.

it's a grotesque repudiation of "1 president at a time". Other presidents actually understand that they are CARETAKERS;
and they have full powers when in Office, but would not interpose their views as ex-POTUS to curb/derail current POTUS powers.

this is exactly it. Trump is looking to cement his place in history, if he can.
