Impeachment has nothing to do with alleged transgressions anymore.

Impeachment, followed by automatic senate acquittal,
is the new standard procedure for the situation
where the president's rival party controls the house of representatives.

We should all know that by now.

Somehow, the founders couldn't figure out that this would become the norm.
