Tucker Carlson's Latest Bizarre Conspiracy Theory: Hurricanes

Carlson claimed people are “kind of onto the scam” of hurricanes prior to the segment on Ian.

“So, you hate to hype hurricanes, because it’s just a staple of TV and everyone’s kind of onto the scam,” Carlson said.

Carlson isn’t the first conservative host to question hurricanes.

Late radio host Rush Limbaugh claimed in 2016 that hurricanes were “in the interest of the left” to call for action on climate change but, like Carlson, admitted at the time that there was a serious storm on the way to Florida: Hurricane Matthew.

I am no big fan of the guy.
He seems a spoiled brat (who is sometimes right)...to me.

But this is ridiculous!!!

'TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): You hate to hype hurricanes because it's just a staple of TV and everyone's kind of onto the scam, but there is a legitimately large hurricane barreling toward the Gulf Coast of Florida tonight, a hurricane bigger than we've seen in more than a hundred years.'

The guy was OBVIOUSLY referring to the 'scam', that is the MSM, overhyping Hurricanes for higher ratings.
Not that hurricanes themselves are scams.

That is RIDICULOUSLY obvious.

Tucker is a pimp, employs hate to make a buck. Prior to his Fox prime time he was already a joke, but now pedaling melodrama with the expected good guys/bad guys, he has made millions

Ian is devastating, but one humorous line Colbert had, “if you couldn’t get out just tell DeSantis you are Venezuelan and he’ll fly you to Martha’s Vineyard”

This is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board. The fact that Guno thanked you for it just confirms that.

How can the MSM be hyping something if they are reporting on what the governor has done? Wouldn't that require that the hype be from the original source?

You might want to read some of your own posts sometime. :)

Wouldn't it be the Florida governor that is hyping the hurricane since he ordered evacuations?

A good point. DeSantis wants to be the RNC nominee in 2024. It makes sense that he'd hype the "danger" of hurricanes to make himself look good as Governor in both preparation and recovery.

You have failed to understand what he was saying, he was not saying that hurricanes are fake, he was saying that Hurricanes have been milked for content by the Mind Molders (nee Journalists). THis really got started by CNN in the 80's...hour after hour of little to no news but lots of video (often exaggerating conditions) and drivel.

Fake News. Carlson isn't question hurricanes. He is questioning fear mongering by the Church of Global Warming and how they blame every hurricane on 'climate change'. He's right, and so was Rush Limbaugh.

There has been a shit ton of that in the last 24 hours, even though hurricanes are nothing new and this has been a rather slow year for hurricanes, as many of the last years have been.
