Trump doesn't want America to continue as a republic, or at least as it is currently set up. It doesn't work as well for him.
Holding his '24 kick-off rally at Waco around the 30 year anniversary of the Branch Davidian siege is more than a "dog whistle." He's telling those who hate our government and talk of armed rebellion against it that he's with them, he's one of them, and that he is their "retribution" for all of the grievances they have and have had.
The future w/ Trump as President is likely a violent one, and one where we could see our precious democracy fall. There isn't a lot of ambiguity about his intent, though the usual suspects will no doubt just go w/ "TDS" and dismissing what is obvious.
