White mom goes on racist rant after black dad cornrows daughter’s hair
A black father defended his daughter against her white mother after the woman went on a racist rant about her child wearing cornrows.
“I’m so pissed off,” the woman—identified only as Sam—wrote to Nick Harris, who posted the conversation on Facebook.

Harris replied that he thought her daughter “looks great,” adding “she doesn’t look ‘too black.’”
Sam replied, “no she looks black and she’s not!”
Harris reminded Sam that her daughter is black, telling her, “your child is mixed sweetie. She’s half white and half black. Her skin tone doesn’t affect there race.”
Sam said Harris can “go ahead treat her like a black kid and I’ll treat her how I want,” before adding, “U stupid.”
After a back-and-forth, where Harris explained that his “daughter is half black” and “will always be half black,” the woman replies “I shouldn’t have had a kid with u.”
“That I can’t argue with at all,” Harris replied. “But do what you want Sam. It’s crazy that you can’t accept the ‘black’ half of our child. She’s not more white or more black. She’s mixed, a beautiful mixed baby whose hair looks great in many different styles.”
“It truly amazing me that hate half your daughter,” he wrote, later adding, “You don’t have to embrace half of your child’s culture. You can continue to speak like the racist bigot you are.”
“Ok I will,” Sam replied.
