Impeachment witnesses detail smear campaign against Ukraine ambassador

Marie Yovanovitch, who was recalled as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine in the spring, and Michael McKinley, a former Pompeo adviser, described deepening concern that foreign policy had been infected by officials seeking to boost Trump’s domestic political standing — in part by pressuring Ukraine’s government to investigate his Democratic opponents.

“I was disturbed by the implication that foreign governments were being approached to procure negative information on political opponents,” McKinley, who resigned in part because the State Department wouldn’t issue a statement of support for Yovanovitch, told investigators.

“In the Foreign Service at embassies, we have to leave politics in the United States,” Yovanovitch told investigators. “I mean, we represent all Americans. We represent our policy.”

Transcripts of Yovanovitch’s and McKinley’s interviews with impeachment investigators were released Monday, the first such documents made public by lawmakers leading the probe.

Yes he is but as a side note, despite the fact that I will vote for a pile of poop over Trump, I hope the nominee is not Biden.
 
Problem is Biden is the most likely to attract important fence sitters. He checks the ridiculous boxes:
he has a dick, he looks like an air force general, he is white, he is old, he isn't gay.

I favor Biden solely on electability. I will take a no Trump vote in the general election anywhere I can find one.
Can some firebrand liberal get people as excited as Obama did? That would change my calculation. But what I'm seeing in key
battleground tells me I am right for now.

The MSM is telling you he is so electable, but have you seen his awful debate performances? His nearly empty venues? Biden will not inspire folks to rush out to vote and as I keep saying...we will have a 2016 redux. Nothing will change with Biden if he was elected and he admitted as much...

So here we go again on the same path of middle class destruction and wealth disparity because Biden is establishment and who Wall Street and the corporate media want. Don't believe their hype about Biden. And if you look at his record he has tons of bad baggage.
