- The Enemies List
- Unlike some past presidents who kept their enemies list a secret, Donald Trump has no problem trumpeting his targets. Based on his own statements and social media posts, here is an unofficial and almost certainly incomplete list of the people he has suggested should face prosecution.
Joe Biden
- Trump has often charged, baselessly, that Biden is corrupt and has taken bribes and kickbacks from foreign governments. Trump has also lashed out at the Biden administration’s Justice Department for indicting him twice. He’s vowed to appoint a special prosecutor to pursue Biden.
Hunter Biden and Jim Biden
- Trump has claimed for years that the president’s son Hunter and his brother Jim engaged in corrupt foreign business dealings. After Trump’s first federal indictment, he promised to “appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president of the history of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the entire Biden crime family.” Hunter was already convicted this year on gun possession and tax fraud charges brought by the Justice Department.
Kamala Harris
- Trump’s antagonism toward his 2024 opponent may be more than political: If Harris wins the election in November and things don’t work out for Trump in his criminal cases in the years ahead, Trump could conceivably end up in federal prison. Trump recently circulated an artificial image of Harris and others in orange jumpsuits behind bars. And he said that Harris should be “IMPEACHED, PROSECUTED, or BOTH” because of what she “has done to our Country at the Border.”
Hillary Clinton (Again)
- During the 2016 election, Trump said that Clinton “has got to go to jail” because she used a private email server while working as secretary of state during the Obama administration. Trump tried to engineer her prosecution while in office but was blocked by aides at the time. The AI-generated image Trump featuring his perceived enemies behind bars also included Clinton.
- Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, attracted Trump’s ire while promoting public health measures during the pandemic in 2020. Trump has said that his attorney general could prosecute Fauci for lying to Congress.
Nancy Pelosi
- Pelosi, the former speaker of the House, was one of Trump’s chief political antagonists while he was in office. Her decision to empanel the House Jan. 6 committee ultimately played a crucial role in Trump’s eventual indictment over the 2020 election. Pelosi was also shown behind bars in prison attire in the AI-generated image that Trump posted several weeks ago.
The Members of the Jan. 6 Committee
- The committee’s work appears to have spurred the Justice Department to look more closely at Trump’s effort to remain in power after he lost the 2020 election. Trump has said that the committee’s members “should be tried for Fraud and Treason.”
Jack Smith
- The Justice Department special counsel and his team of lawyers are prosecuting Trump over his alleged misconduct following his loss in the 2020 election as well as his retention of classified documents after leaving office. Trump recently circulated comments describing “JACKAL SMITH” as “A CAREER CRIMINAL” who “SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR ELECTION INTERFERENCE & PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT.”
Alvin Bragg
- The Manhattan district attorney’s office convicted Trump earlier this year of falsifying business records in connection with a hush-money payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels in the run-up to the 2016 election. Trump has said that Bragg “SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CRIME OF ‘INTERFERENCE IN A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.’”
Andrew McCabe (Again)
- McCabe, the former deputy director and acting director of the FBI during the Trump administration, attracted Trump’s attention as a result of his work overseeing the Trump-Russia probe. Trump has promoted comments from former White House adviser Steve Bannon saying that McCabe “should be worried” about being prosecuted in a second term.
Mark Milley
- Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Trump administration, reportedly called his counterpart in the Chinese government around the 2020 election to make clear the U.S. would not attack them as a result of a Trump loss. “This is an act so egregious,” Trump wrote on Truth Social last year, “that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!”
Barack Obama
- Trump has accused Obama, the former president and Trump’s longtime bête noire, of engaging in “treason” as a result of the Justice Department’s investigation of the Trump 2016 campaign and potential ties to Russia. More recently, Trump has suggested that Obama might face a public military tribunal if Trump is reelected.
Unidentified Public Officials, Donors and Voters
- After Trump’s first federal indictment last year, he promised to appoint a prosecutor who would pursue not just Biden and his family but “all others involved with the destruction of our elections, our borders, and our country itself.” Trump used similarly sweeping language in early September, when he promised to prosecute all of the “Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters, & Corrupt Election Officials” who engage in the sort of “rampant Cheating and Skullduggery” that he falsely claims resulted in him losing the 2020 election to Biden. “Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country,” he said.

If the orange clown is somehow is elected president and he uses the federal government to go after these people, it will really be the end of democracy in this country?!!
