I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention from the left as this was one of their major complaints about Bush.

Trump wants to stop being the world's policeman and not go it unilateral, but what to does the left complain about? His so called 'secret' plan for ISIS.

He was a nut yesterday. He slammed Obama for inaction, but then said he'd use more restraint w/ our military. He said he'd work more w/ our allies, then talks about getting rid of NATO. He said our allies need to know they can depend on us more, then went on his whole America first spiel.

Over the course of the whole speech? Both.

He was all over the place. There are lists of contradictions all over the web, from analysts, former military brass, et al. Charles Krauthammer, who I don't really align w/ ideologically, said that it was remarkable that Trump managed to sound just as wandering & meandering and incoherent reading off of a teleprompter as he does speaking off the cuff.

Cite it then. To me when he was talking restraint it was about the military overall, not specifically ISIS. I'm not going to crawl around the net backing up your claim. Hopefully you will have the decency to show me where he meant ISIS when he was talking about restraint.

I can get some text, but I'm not sure if you're aware of the hairsplitting you're engaging in here. Why are the military & addressing ISIS (bolded above) 2 separate concepts? All Trump has talked about when focusing on ISIS is using the military.

Are you trying to suggest that there is a difference between using restraint when engaging our military, but not when engaging our military in relation to ISIS?

One is a single specific threat. The other is us playing the world's policeman. It's like you don't understand that there are situations that call for specific action and the overall use of the military. For example, a police force may say we need to exercise more restraint because we have been too violent in response to non-violent crimes. Yet, if there is a hostage or gunfire situation, you wouldn't claim they are saying they would use less restraint there.

Left wingers LOVE military action. They just think that their own adventures are worth pursuing.
 
I am surprised at the lefties. They are always bleating on about people paying their "fair share" yet not when it comes to NATO. Additionally the Big Eared one accused Romney of having an old foreign policy when he brought up Russia as a regional threat yet they want to continue in NATO which was designed to contain NATO.


Lefties think Russia is no threat and neither is Iran or ISIS so is NATO even needed?
