Trumppers, thoughts on spending bill?

I'd say, at this point, federal spending is in a death spiral. It is impossible to avoid debt rising because most government spending is mandatory with mandatory increases to match inflation.

Are you saying you do not know what it will do to healthcare? That figures. https://jeffries.house.gov/2025/06/...ealthcare-for-more-than-16-million-americans/
This is the result of another fucked up aspect of Obamacare: Expanded Medicaid. More people were allowed to get on Medicaid with Obamacare. The tab (bill / price) for that was to initially be picked up by the feds and the federal portion of payments would decrease over 10 years with the states picking up the cost gradually until they covered it almost completely. Most BLUE states went all in on that while most red states were reluctant to do likewise.

What has happened since is that the states that went all-in on this found they couldn't cover the bill without massive federal support and lobbied to keep the federal payments coming. With Trump's first term this wasn't an issue as the payments were being made. Biden and the Democrats kept the levels up rather than let them decline as originally required. Now, Trump and the Republicans want to cut the payments as originally written into Obamacare and the BLUE (mostly) states are squealing about how they can't afford to keep all their low-income losers on Medicaid.

The Democrat angle is an irrelevant appeal to pity. Oh! It's terrible! Without federal subsidies that were supposed to end being extended indefinitely millions will lose their health insurance coverage! Well, the goddamned Democrats should have thought about that before putting such an ass fucked plan in place over a decade ago.

Of course, what the Democrats back then fully expected was their slight of hand, three card monty, play with how they set this up in Obamacare was that when the bill came due down the road the pain of cuts would be unacceptable and the feds would just keep paying out. Trump and the Republicans aren't playing that and the Democrats are squealing like scalded pigs over it. Fuck them.

So that means adding three and half trillion more to it is a good idea?
That's an estimate and nothing more. Based on past budgets, it's also complete fiction.

Here's one from 2013. It too is bullshit (note: I just picked an easy example, I'm not bashing Obama here).

So, just because some talking head or another says "This will add to the national debt..." doesn't mean it's true.

English please.

Not only healthcare but food stamps , and other major programs that help the poor/ working poor and middle class and by all means we absolutely have to keep the tax cuts for the rich in place.
Heck the MAGAs cried about Obama running up the debt but didn't say a word about Trump running it up almost as much as Obama did and Trump did all that in only 4 years and it took Obama 8 years . looks like Trump wants to break his own record for running up the debt, 4 trillion now and another 4 trillion in a year or so and more after that.
YEP cut programs the average American needs , put ridiculously high tariffs on just about everything we buy and then expect the average American to get by without help from the Government.
Trump is a real ASSHOLE.

You know so little. Our healthcare is fucked up because it is run by lobbysist, durable goods manufacturers and big PHARM. A for progfit healthcare system will result in gouging and decisions being made to increase profits. Our insurance companies are in the business of denying as much healthcare as they can. It makes them more money. You are such a low grade sucker.
