trump is trying to be vague, and seemingly ambivalent.

The problem he faces is the fact that he lowballed values for tax purposes and inflated them for equity purposes.

Trying to say that 'sometimes it was high and sometimes it was low' plays right into the prosecution's hands.

While I agree about the self-obsession the fact he keeps whining about a tax assessment strikes me as odder than usual.

I'm thinking something is up with Mar-a-Lago. Something a lot more than all the classified documents he stole.

The fuck he is. Do you know how tax valuations of large commercial properties are calculated? Palm Beach County just released its 2023 appraisals last week. Mar-a-Lago is valued at $37MM. Trump says it's worth $1B. It is not even remotely possible in any county that the difference between actual value and assessed value is 96.3%, or 963 MILLION DOLLARS. Pull your head off of Trump's pinky dick and borrow a brain to put in it.

I equate that to taking statements from family members before sentencing.

trumps are guilty. How much it is going to cost remains to be seen. Getting testimony from the officers is (I assume) an attempt to find out who/how/when/where the fraud happened and who was most responsible. I'm thinking that they are all keeping in mind that there could be criminal trials in the future if they admit to knowingly committing this fraud.

Agreed on all the above, but as the link states, he has a particular obsession with his Florida estate. TrumpCo is NY based. It's about to come down like the WTC yet he gets his shorts in a twist about Mar-a-Lago. Why?

I don't even know where to start. Trump defrauded banks, insurance companies, and the State of NY to enrich himself.

That kind of fraud is illegal. The NY AG's office exists to enforce the state's laws.
