Cruz is right though in my opinion in that New Yorkers elect people to office in New York that would probably never get elected in many other states especially states with conservative leanings. If New Yorkers elect a person that is ok with abortion, gay marriage, and many other controversial issues then that does mean that they have different values and beliefs than places that wouldn't elect those people. I think Cruz probably should have explained it further though so that it didn't seem like he was questioning their kindness or heart and more about their political values. I actually think Trumps response about September 11th and trying to make a comparison was wrong though and showed, atleast to me, that he is willing to use a tragedy to score points.

I guess my point is that he basically defended the liberal values of most New Yorkers while using 9/11 as a way of shielding New Yorkers from political criticism from his own party rivals.

Your side already got your USE out of them
