But is he lol.

There's so much going on it's hard to process it all. Trump launches Tomahawks at Assad/Putin *as he sits down to dinner* with China's Xi J.

Xi J then turns a shipment of NK coal back to where it came from and according to at least one report, threatens to take out NK's nuke capability if they don't cease with the tests.

There's making war and there's projecting strength in order to keep it from happening.

Trump might be up to something with Syria and Putin. People scoffed at Trump when he wouldn't say exactly what he was going to do with ISIS. I don't pretend to know what he's up to exactly, but I'll resist calling him a neocon until I see all the cards on the table.

After refusing to take sides in the 2016 election, Putin offered praise for Republican candidate Donald Trump's strategy.

"Trump has chosen his own way of reaching the hearts of the voters," Putin said. "He is acting extravagantly, but not so pointlessly."

"He represents the interests of the part of the society tired of the elites that have held power for decades," he added. "He is representing the common people, and he is acting like a common guy himself."

Watch Trump work, learn something.
Rather than ridicule the best mind to hold this office in two generations

I'm withholding judgment, but the latter has a decent chance at being true.

Right now, nobody knows what Trump is going to do but Trump. He moved decisively on Syria and he has the advantage of being perceived as unpredictable---no, he IS unpredictable lol.

I do NOT give a fvck about Syria. It's a Russian client state, let the Russians deal with it.

I do care about Cold War 2.0,, and guess what? we have NATO expansion once again,
it was expected but it more of the same

Trump approves Montenegro's NATO membership
http://thehill.com/policy/international/328270-trump-approves-montenegros-nato-membership
he treaty signing comes after the Senate on Mach 28 voted overwhelmingly to back Montenegro joining NATO.

Republican Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Mike Lee (Utah) were the only two Senate lawmakers to oppose the treaty, arguing that allowing Montenegro to join does little to help U.S. national security interests.

I don't see how the accession of Montenegro, a country with the population smaller than most congressional districts and a military smaller than the police force of the District of Columbia, is beneficial enough that we should share an agreement for collective defense," Lee said at the time.

Paul also blocked a vote on the treaty earlier in March, setting off Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.).

McCain blasted Paul on the Senate floor at the time, saying that the “senator from Kentucky is now working for [Russian President] Vladimir Putin."

But lawmakers from both parties stressed that the move will help push back against a resurgent Russia.

I agree with both of the above.

Tillerson meets Vladie today though. I want to see how that goes so I can get a better picture before I say yay or nay on anything.

Don't look now, but all that 'Russian reset' crap is OVER.

.. and the story won't end there.

This is turning out exactly as we the opposition said it would.

ya ya..he had the right instincts, unlike Hillary but his foreign policy advisors are all neocons now

The only instincts Trump has are the same instincts PT Barnum has .. they know how to play suckers for fools. Trump's massive lawsuits and bankruptcies should have made that abundantly clear.

Hillary Clinton, warts and all would have been a far more intelligent choice than Trump.

No. HRC said last week she wanted to shut down Assads "airbases"- plural..
I'm dissapointed there can't be a Russian reset
( to cool down this hot Cold War 2.0 that is becoming escalation after escalation) -but HRC would have u in a war with Assad or Russia by now.

Shutting down Assads airbases, would mean Russian air only from their airbases, and that means not enough Syrian coverage.

I'm sick of Syria. it' become the be all and end all of US/Russian relations -where EUROPE is the key not Syria

LOL, not his fault, it's the fault of his handlers, WHO WHERE CHOSEN BY HIM!!!
for sure. but getting rid of Flynn because of political pressure was a blow to normalizing Russian relations.
That and the generalized Russiaphobia by the IC and the Dems.
Not to make excuses for Trump, but the entire "Russian collusion" meme has poisoned a reset.

If some evidence is proven will you accept it??
of course. But I mean real collusion -not Trump's goofing around calling for Emails released during the campaign.
or "Russian business ties."

I'd have to see a real quid pro quo, and I'd have to see it tied to Trump-
the same standard we used in judging the Clinton Foundation
