Trump Is Liable for Ashli Babbit’s Death

Capitol insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt’s death is no mystery and Rep. Cori Bush gets real about the ‘Defund the Police’ bill and how she really feels about Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Republicans will do just about anything to deflect from the seriousness of the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.
First, it was the refusal by some to go through metal detectors. Then there was the claim that the riot was actually just an unruly tour—despite the entire world seeing otherwise. Now, Trump and his posse of far-right Republicans are trying to turn rioter Ashli Babbit’s death into a whodunit and framing the Democrats as the perpetrators.
Which, as Substacker and The Nation columnist Jeet Heer points out in this episode of The New Abnormal, is absolutely ridiculous.

“Now she, by the right, is being turned into this murder,” he says, because Trump put it out there and, of course, “it then becomes sort of a GOP orthodoxy.”
But OK, we’ll bite. Who killed Ashli Babbitt?
According to Heer: obviously, Trump, “the instigator of that political violence.”
Then, Missouri congresswoman Cori Bush addresses the piece of legislation that, if passed, will help divert some police funds into mental health and other crisis programs. And she does not care if the messaging on it is polarizing: “Why do we have police officers who are doing a job that they are not skilled or trained for?”
She also weighs in on whether or not she thinks the bill will actually pass, why “discussions on discussions” with Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin aren’t working, and the only thing that scares her when it comes to Marjorie Taylor Greene. (Seriously, it’s just one thing, “I’ve been shot at. She doesn't scare me.”)
Plus! Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action reveals a gun crime stat that would freak out conservatives.

Agreed on the logic that Trump is responsible. Legally, Trump will never have to pay for the five lost American lives and hundreds both injured and maimed by Trump's Insurrection.

Trump will stir up more of the Qless and more Qless will soon be lying in the streets bleeding out.

a better way to maybe hold trump accountable for inciting a riot and causing death and injury would be civil lawsuits..........I would think almost any jury in the country would find for the plaintiffs family

Why?

What he did was treasonous and criminal, he needs to go to jail along with the suckers he conned into attacking the Capitol with the intention of killing elected reps, Senators, staffers, cops, and the Vice President.

His assets should be seized and his children should be held in jail with no bail because they're all flight risks, and they're all complicit.

I get that this is your pipe dream, but since you clearly do not know or understand how the law works, you should sit back, shut up, and try to learn.

If you, SmarterThanYou, launched an insurrection against the government of the United States, what do you think would happen to you?

If I were in the exact same circumstances as trump, at that particular time and place, i'd laugh my ass off at any prosecutor who thought they could bring a case with nothing but circumstantial evidence.............

but then I know how the law works and you do not.

Great, then we could see lawsuits against Pelosi, Waters, and the VP for using more definitive language when BLM and Antifa were killing law abiding citizens

Do you know what "circumstantial evidence" is?

Because there was nothing "circumstantial" about what Trump did on and before 1/6 to lead an insurrection.

Describe how you think it's "circumstantial", because that's a bizarre thing to say about this:

but then I know how the law works and you do not.

You say this, but it's not true.

YOU THINK you know how the law works, and you lent yourself that credibility, but you're not a lawyer, so you don't have that credibility nor do you have the credibility to declare that you know "how the law works".

Total, and utter B.S, the person who shot Ashli is responsible you people are outside your minds!

No, YOU are responsible for her death because YOU kept lying about the election for three months, and your lies convinced that soft headed dipshit to attack the Capitol over "the greatest theft in American history".

A "theft" so great that you didn't bother to go to DC to defend against it, even though you alleged it.

What do you call someone who provokes other people into doing the action you're too chickenshit to do yourself?

Vulvarine is a pussy. His name even says so.

Anyone can sue anyone in America. Why do you think Congress is full of fucking lawyers and not veterans?
