Trump is VERY likely to be convicted.

I am close to certain that Donald Trump will be convicted of at least a few of the Felony counts against him. UNLESS, he or one of his cronies gets elected president and ends the prosecution, or if he dies or something. He wont be convicted of all counts he is charged with but even one felony is big.

Trump was warned that what he was doing was illegal by Bill Barr and Pat Cipollione.

The bigger issues at this point are... what do we do about it?

Prison? Home confinement at his clubhouse? Confinement in a prison set aside for his benefit?

What do you do with a former president who by law has committed crimes against the United States?

Additionally, if he is pardoned, what does that say to future presidents about breaking the law and if there will be consequences for it?

Are we going to do gulags and reeducation camps, or are we going right to the killing?

What's the plan Stan?

Georgia will be Trump's Waterloo! His co-conspiritors will flip on him like a gymnast

If conviction appears certain and no Republican wins the White House, I see Trumpf being a flight risk to Moscow or Pyongyang.

The country looks more like the Soviet Union by the day.

Why do you say that? You do not believe in the jury system?

Its pretty clear Trump committed crimes, do you think he should be above prosecution?

The Soviet Union had leaders that were above prosecution, for sure.

The plan is to go with the American ideal that nobody is above the law, and that nobody is guilty until and unless he is found by a jury of Americans to be guilty.

I dont know, I think his ego would never let him believe conviction would be certain or that punishment would ever find him if it did appear certain.

I'm fine with prison, then house arrest. Both with no access to social media or the Internet so that he cannot continue to spread his corruption. It's hilarious how suddenly the MAGATs are all about reconciliation and "moving on" -- while still supporting this divisive criminal for another term as #IMPOTUSx2.

If he were convicted he would be confined to a certain place, certainly not in prison, but he would face the same rules he would in prison.

Perhaps a room in the Trump Tower that the secret service can protect. The room would be stripped almost bare, he would have limited access to phone calls, probably no internet access, no phone, his visitation would be limited just like in prison.

It would essentially be a jail cell just out of the danger of other prisoners.

The prison he was sentenced to would probably put together a small team consisting of 3 or 4 people who were properly vetted and would monitor Trump on shifts. Trumps food would be specially prepared by a professional chef but it would be what the prison serves.

Something along those lines I imagine.

Donnie does not have to be convicted to serve jail time. The judge in GA will not put up with his mouth and his attempts to influence the trial.

Likely, not certainly.

They need to remove the Pardon Power from the Executive Branch. Trump has shown how it can be abused in a way our Finding Father's never dreamed.
