Despite claims that the US is dismantling its regime change complex, so far all of the US-backed opposition groups here in Thailand remain open for business. The vast networks the US is using to supply and arm militants in next door Myanmar also continue to operate. Some are claiming specific USAID projects have been defunded, but NED, Open Society, EU, and "Christian" "charity" money continues to flow.These other sources have been introduced over the years specifically to deflect attention away from US interference, not because US interference actually ended.The fact this isn't even being talked about by the administration supposedly dismantling this system is the most obvious indicator a shell game is being played under the guise of reform.The fact that most of these groups continue to operate after many Americans have assumed they've been shut down demonstrates the purpose of this exercise.
