Kathy Griffin is making headlines again after saying she is “just waiting” for President Donald Trump to die, adding that he will die “sooner than later,” and calling him “disgusting to look at.”
The comments came during a recent episode of her YouTube show, where she said she is “bored” of talking about Trump, then pivoted into the remark that set social media on fire.
Griffin is a two-time Emmy winner, and a familiar face to Bravo viewers from “My Life on the D-List.”
She also spent years as Anderson Cooper’s co-host on CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage, before that relationship ended in the fallout from her most infamous Trump-related controversy.
Back in 2017, Griffin sparked widespread backlash after posing with a prop styled to look like Trump’s severed, bloodied head, a stunt that drew condemnation and led to CNN cutting ties.
The Trump era has produced more than one incendiary moment from Griffin online.
In 2020, she tweeted, “Patiently waiting for trump’s coma to commence,” a post that resurfaced quickly after her latest comments went viral.
That same year, Griffin faced backlash again after tweeting about Trump and a “syringe,” a controversy that was widely reported at the time.
