If someone on his appointed team is taking that meeting that is enough, it does not take a rocket scientist to listen to a repeat of yesterdays news. Most of that crap is fluff that justifies someones job. Large corporations implement the same crap and the only thing that changes in 24 hours is the date and time.

How do you know most of it is fluff. You don't. It could be important information leading up to something big. Something bad. Perhaps giving him that...aha moment. Something that someone on his team didn't see. Seriously again, how hard is it to meet with intel face to face, c'mon.

And if it is something important it will be recognized and discussed, again it is not rocket science to read a briefing and it does not require someone read it to you. Face to Face meetings are time consuming and when the information changes little day to day I would rather my President focus on things that put people back to work and improve the lives of Americans that have truly suffered the last 8 years. Clinton didn't take these meeting either and even Obama skipped some as well.
