When an American who potentially could be working can't read a tape measure, cannot read and follow simple instructions, cannot use basic tools correctly, they are essentially worthless. It isn't a "diversity" issue. It's a not able to do the job issue. Most people who get food stamps either don't work or do the bare minimum to continue to get food stamps. Many choose marginal jobs and work the minimum hours deliberately. There are plenty of studies that show this.
