“Trump Demands GOP Rivals Pledge to Pardon Him … or Else“

“IN THE DAYS since Donald Trump was indicted, his allies have had a unified demand of his GOP primary rivals: Promise to pardon the Donald — or else.”

“Trump’s demand advances two goals: The first is to protect himself from legal consequences if he loses both the GOP primary and his federal court case. But given that Trump is telling allies he’ll trounce DeSantis and all other primary challengers, the demand for a pardon pledge appears to be more of a political move. The question itself offers a trap for any Republican who tries to engage with it: Either side with Trump and use the occasion to keep him in the campaign spotlight, or share some uncomfortable real estate on the side of Joe Biden and the Justice Department.”

“If you’re Ron, you find yourself really in a really tough situation, because if you blast the DOJ and you blast Jack Smith and Biden, you’re essentially defending Trump and admitting Trump was right,” one MAGA-aligned Republican strategist tells Rolling Stone. “If you condemn him, there’s no lane for you running on that. And then silence is an equally bad option because folks notice you not saying anything.”

Interesting cause in time all of them, minus perhaps Christie, will come out and give Trump exactly what he wants, even if Trump were found guilty, in the end, they are all gutless and afraid of him

If Trump were a man and not a crybaby he would make no such demand, express no such fear of the Justice Department. But, when the chips are down, a crybaby he is.

Rolling stone?????? LMFAO

“IN THE DAYS since Donald Trump was indicted, his allies have had a unified demand of his GOP primary rivals: Promise to pardon the Donald — or else.”...
The irony? Pardoning Trump, and Trump accepting it, is an admission of guilt. Trump would fess up to being a traitor.

Pedo Don is no man. He's a child rapist, sexually abused his own daughter, lied about not needing donations for his campaign and, now, has publicly admitted he's guilty of the crimes for which he is charged.

It doesn’t make any difference to Trump, or especially the Trumpkins, if he is guilty of not, as he said, and fully realizes, if he shot someone in broad daylight on 5th Avenue he wouldn’t lose votes

Even so, he'll forever be known as the loser who admitted he was guilty of a crime. :rofl2:

IMO, he'll drag this out until after he's dead. He's got the money to do it....mostly from Trump Tuckers.

So you are saying the Trump campaign isn’t asking the GOP candidates to commit to pardoning him if elected?

I'm saying I'm being as dismissive of your sources just like youre dismissive of other peoples sources. It's the simplest way to debate, no wonder you do it all the time.

I “dismiss” sources that have a long history of lying and fabricating, especially when the poster employing such come with an opinion piece

This isn’t a contrived narrative shown by your inability to show us where the Trump campaign and associates aren’t demanding candidates take a position. And if you read what I offered of the report you’d know it is a strategic political move by the Trump team, especially as it applies to DeSantis, its target

He don’t care about his legacy, in that world, whatever he says becomes his legacy, and yes he will drag it out beyond his lifetime, but a pardon would help him continue on

I'm not so sure. His fragile ego doesn't want to be seen as a loser. Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt, meaning that he was wrong to do what he did.

I'm looking forward to the irony of Trump accepting a pardon for his crimes.
