Trump clarifies 'Sweden' remark, says he was referring to Fox News report

President Trump on Sunday attempted to clarify his remark at a weekend rally that suggested a terror attack had taken place Friday night in Sweden.

“My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden,” the president tweeted.

Given he doesn't give speeches well in terms of being all smooth and polished, more shoots from the hip, I can see that in the context of what he said, because he did specifically refer to immigration and not a terrorist incident.

I'll give him this one.

He should just learn how to do this stuff correctly. It's really not an impossible challenge to gather facts and then communicate them effectively.

But it's such a big deal lol!

I have mixed emotions about it. On the one hand I wish Trump would gaffe less. But in instances like this, the gaffe has kept the focus on Sweden's immigration policy which is a walking disaster. And if one is out to criticize Trump on immigration, Sweden is a lousy place to start.

So the Trump outrage du jour has the effect of getting people talking about Sweden's immigration issues when they might be talking about something else. I wouldn't say he does it on purpose: that's probably ascribing too much to it.

But I wouldn't rule it out either.

The shrill hate filled FAKE media cannot give him anything. You see, as much as they wanted Trump to accept the results of a Hillary victory, that courtesy is not extended to him.
