Trump backtracks... how do you feel?

When he was looking for the Republican nomination he was getting a deportation force to deport all 11 million illegal immigrants.

Now... " when I win, is we're going to get rid of all of the bad ones — we got gang members, we have killers, we have a lot of bad people that have to get out of this country. We're going to get them out."

Since you are fond of saying how all politicians lie, do you agree all politicians back track or flip flop?

Personally, Trump needed to flip and flop.

I predicted that loyal little lapdoggies would yip their approval and pretend their master didn't flip-flop again, and I was 100% correct.

Trumpovites think Trump is not a politician and is different.

They hate HRC because she lies... they love Trump even if he lies.

Loyal lapdoggies believe what he says, and when what he says changes, they believe that too.

Well at least you admit Crooked ILLary lies

Nobody thought Trump could deport the spics. Too many RINOS in congress that wouldn't pass his agenda.

If it's backtracking to a better idea -so be it. Use the laws we have now, and quit enabling more illegals with refugees status
( thinking mostly central American) which brings kids, and then their parents/families.

Oh and if they come back in with felonies -that should be a felony too with automatic jail time
No more sanctuary cities -if it's one thing the fed's have is undisputed control on immigration.

I'd also make it a policy of stopping Mexican illegals as soon as they stepped into the Rio Grande.

Do a lot of this stuff and there isn't need for "walls"

Well trained(double think) “Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

Anatta, I really respect your opinion, and I agree that sanctuary cities are over the top, and that illegals with felonies should all be summarily deported. But, there are 11 million illegals here. Most are a plus to our economy, taking crappy jobs at shitty wages, having taxes deducted without any benefits, and with a lower crime rate than the rest of our society. Do they get ER medical care? Yes. But they don't get health insurance. Do their children get educated? Yes. But do we really want to return to when our 'slaves' were forbidden to read or write? Do they come here, and suck off our welfare system? A qualified no. Does anyone really think that they come here to party down on federal assistance? Some qualified situations allow a certain amount of financial assistance. If anyone believes that the assistance that this country affords is too generous, then that is a subject that should be taken up with our politicians to tighten our purse strings.

We don't need a wall because these people are rapists and druggies, sent here 'by Mexico' to rid themselves of bad characters. We need a path that shuns the baddies, and allows the hard-working dreamers to participate in our melting-pot, like all previous builders of our nation. Making immigration difficult, yet possible, will allow true contributors in, without permitting freeloaders and bad actors a free reign.

I agree with Ronald Reagan on that. In his day, there were 3 million illegals. He said
Rather than making them, of talking about putting up a fence, why don't we work out some recognition of our mutual problems, make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit, and then, while they're working and earning here, they pay taxes here. And when they want to go back they can go back, and cross. And open the border both ways, by understanding their problems. This is the only safety valve they have right now, with that unemployment, that probably keeps the lid from blowing off...And I think we could have a fine relationship.

I never thought that I would have to quote Reagan, whose claim to fame was to throw crazy inmates out of institutions onto our streets, in order to counter modern conservatives.

if its true that he is disavowing the wall then he has lost me.

If we are rounding up violent criminals enmasse and deporting them instead of letting them stay and kill people and then working on the rest by implementing everify and stricter border security thur the wall then im ok with it

Stop lying.

You will spin his positions as they "evolve" and con yourself into staying loyal by pretending he isn't a politician desperate for votes who will pander to any group that might give him an electoral edge.

He's not disavowing it, he is simply no longer mentioning it. Its his pattern, he says what gets him attention today, then if it does not work for him later he abandons it. I don't know why anyone thinks they know what he is going to peruse once elected.

For an outsider, he seems to have picked up quickly you appeal to the extreme in the primaries and tack to the center in the general election. He'll be an establishment Republican in no time
