Trump at National Prayer Breakfast: 'Pray for Arnold'

President Donald Trump veered off script at the start of the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday when he asked a room full of lawmakers, foreign dignitaries and religious leaders to pray for Arnold Schwarzenegger so that ratings of his show -- NBC's "The Apprentice" -- would go up.

Seriously, how can anyone not be embarrassed by this? Digging Arnold for lower ratings than when he was on, and then wanting to "pray" for him.

What an egotistical ass and immature little boy.

I love this reply by Ahnold, classic:

Schwarzenegger promptly replied via a Twitter video: "Hey Donald. I have a great idea. Why don't we switch jobs? You take over TV, cause you're such an expert in ratings. And I take over your job, so that people can finally sleep comfortably again."

Arnold's a pig, but that was funny! Lol

I laughed when I saw The Gubernator was on the list of Republicans who had denounced Douchebag Donald following Pussygate.

Umm...maybe it was a joke?

It's always amazing to me when the context of Trump's statements are completely ignored by everyone spouting off about it, lol. In this case, Mark Burnett (The Celebrity Apprentice producer) was the person who introduced Donald Trump and shook his hand at the National Prayer Breakfast. Trump took the first several minutes thanking various people in the room... and when he got to Roma Downey (Mark's wife) and Mark Burnett, he naturally talked about how long they knew each other and about the cut-off between Trump doing the Apprentice show and Trump running for president and cutting off ties with it. He then innocently injected the joke, while the audience laughed and he laughed with them. Watch the video below in full context...

I watched it live. He's not only a pathological liar, he's a low class slob.

of course you'll say that... you're a Liberal hack with no consistent moral standards who is upset that Trump will be president of the United States for at least the next 4 years (it'll be 8 years), and there's nothing you can do about it, so you lash out with your Kindergarten-level attacks. :) big deal...

Trump, still involved in the production was just plugging the show. He is low class, though he longs to be part of the high class society that still rejects him, even as President and who grows more toxic to them each day.

You demonstrate your partisan ignorance, punk.

He tooted his own horn at the expense of someone else. At a prayer breakfast. Just another low-class shitweasel. No wonder you associate with him.

I just did the opposite of showing ignorance, I gave context to Trump's statement, even providing the video of his speech for anyone else to see the context for themselves and NOT be ignorant. Your definition of "ignorance" is simply me not thinking the way you want me to.

Your last statement is completely disingenuous, it's laughable! You couldn't care less about the prayer breakfast. You think people who pray to their Creator are nutcases. You bash people who believe in God all the time, especially Christians. So drop the "oh, Trump is so offensive" act. Trump's quick joke made the audience laugh, as it was intended to do. They appreciated his light-hearted banter, which makes sense because no one wants to be serious and somber all the time, except maybe Liberals.

I never saw the clip till now and it was kind of as I expected: Trump was making a joke. An obvious one at that. Based on the way it's been reported you would have thought the comment was made during the midst of an actual prayer. I'm a Christian and had I been there I wouldn't have thought anything of it.

It's just another in a long line of incidents involving Trump that were taken out of context by the media.
