Trump and His Co-Defendants in Georgia Are Already at Odds

I assume they all will ask for a federal court for a number of reasons.

For instance, there is more established precedent in federal courts meaning it's easier for a defense team to work within established guidelines.

The judges are more likely not to impose extremely harsh sentences that juries may recommend.

They are generally faster.

There are actual laws established in federal courts that allow for dismissal of a case whereas state courts are not bound by that.

There is a far larger pool of people to choose from for a federal jury than a state jury.

People would be stupid to not ask for a transfer to a federal court.

Their crimes are based on the state of Georgia. Nothing to do with the federal govenment.

to ask is one thing, to get it is much more difficult.

The crimes don't change, only the venue where the trial is held dimwit.

Many people facing trial often ask for a federal court for the reasons I listed above.

There is no law saying that state charges have to be tried in a state court which are usually so overburdened that the trial can take twice as long meaning more legal expenses.

They are admitting guilt by their delay tactics.

Do you know why a judge would allow a trial transfer from state to federal? If you dont better look it up.

Of course I know and there are multiple reasons.

The most common one is a case between citizens of different states which as far as I know, everyone being charged here were not actual citizens of Georgia.

Hence grounds for the move.

Totally and completely wrong. You are a fool, my dear and ignorant also

Those are not the grounds. Funny how you pontificate in complete ignorance.

The indictment charges Mr. Meadows with racketeering and “solicitation of violation of oath by public officer” for his participation in the Jan. 2, 2021 call in which Mr. Trump told the Georgia secretary of state that he wanted to “find” enough votes to win Georgia. The indictment also describes other efforts by Mr. Meadows that prosecutors say were part of the illegal scheme to overturn the 2020 election.

Mr. Meadows’s lawyers argue that all of the actions in question were what “one would expect” of a White House chief of staff — “arranging Oval Office meetings, contacting state officials on the president’s behalf, visiting a state government building, and setting up a phone call for the president” — and that removal is therefore justified.

There is one 1 reason why a trial would be moved to Federal court, only one. You dont even know it!

There are two reasons why a case can be moved to federal court showing that you don't know what you are talking about.

I would list them for you but I think you should look them up yourself.

Hint: I've already listed one of them.
