Topspin I need advice

I am watching oil get slaughtered and I have to believe that it is heading toward a floor. I haven't invested in oil ever, and the charts that I am looking at aren't showing me a buy signal.

While I heed the adage "never try to catch a falling knife" I can't help but wonder if we are approaching a floor.

What do you think?

Oil is only on a downward track thanks to the mess the world's economies are in thanks to Liberal policies. The pendulum will swing the other way and anyone who doesn't think oil will once again hit $100 a barrell are fools.

I am not Topspin; but I would say that buying large corporate oil stocks will be a good buy on Monday for the long term.

I was wrong when I bought United Stock after 9-11; but then, I had never believed that a large corporation the size of United would screw it's share holders and declare their common stock worthless, then re-issue new stock at a later date.

For that I will never forgive the United Board or it's management. So buyer beware.

I don't buy individual stocks. I buy ETFs. So if I play oil, I will most likely buy USO

Oil is down for several reasons but one of the big ones is OPEC has lost control of the market. I'll never say never about anything, but $100/barrel isn't going to be easy to get to with the frackers in the equation.

The best economic forecasters can't pick the bottom in oil or anything else. We have seen all sorts of alt energy companies go belly yo in the last decade. I would say this, look at pictures of China a decade ago. Everyone was on bicycles, their auto market is now larger than ours. While oil may go down to $20, it will also one day be 200!
So if you bought now you'd be close enough to the bottom.
I have never bought oil, but owned texaco then chevron for 28 years. Switch to Exxon and Conoco at retirement.
I did not sell at 30 percent down like I didn't sell Apple at 25 percent down.
Not sure why anyone wouldn't own at least 10 percent of their portfolio in these great companies.
Look even the turbolibs ecoterrorist here won't drive electric.
And how many time do you need to see an ahole driver on a cellphone before you invest.
Don't be guided by hatred of me, check there long run return on equity.
Peace

I think you are a douche when it comes to politics, but I don't hate you and I can give you your props when it comes to money. When it comes to money, I never let politics skew my vision. That is why your name is in the title.

At about 3:45, I am going to put in an order for 1,000 shares of USO with an 8% stop loss.

That's a good capitalist for you right there.
