You mean the NAACP? Dude, black folks have been ripping on the NAACP for awhile but specifically today for their actions with Sterling. Hell, I guess a bunch of white people are now involved with the group. They are about money.
 
Like many groups that had lofty and worthwhile goals the NAACP sold its soul to progressivism along time ago. They no longer represent black people. They represent LIBERAL black people. The original founding of the NAACP would not have stood for the treatment Herman Cain received. The 2012 version not only tolerates but leads the charge.

They are nothing more than shakedown artists.


Why do you think Silver said that none of Sterlings other actions were considered? Because they would have to peel back the onion on how many folks and groups overlooked his actions because he was a democrat. Now their chickens are coming home to roost and someone wants his team.

I don't know what you mean by "support." If Donald Sterling wants to give them money, I don't see why they shouldn't accept it. Sterling's $2.5 million fine is being donated to charity. I mean, I can understand if the NAACP told him to fuck himself, but I don't think it has to.

I mean that they gave him an award back in 2009 and they were planning on giving him a lifetime achievement award this year... why would they do that for a known racist? For someone who was fined for racial discrimination in housing etc...

Oh, I think the NAACP LA Chapter's past practices are fair game. And I don't think there is any question that they accepted his large donations in exchange for those awards, which served as a means to launder his public image. Why they did and whether they should is up for debate. But I don't see the problem with accepting his money on a going forward basis, provided, of course, they don't give him those fucking awards. It's like, "we're taking your money so we can do good things with it, but you're still a racist piece of shit."

Not following you.....given the situation, you can't have an organization like the NAACP say one thing and then do another. It's like being "a little pregnant". They hurt the stance of their organization more with this wishy-washy attitude.

FYI: "white" people, as well as yellow, brown, tan....have been involved with the NAACP for decades. Yep, they have their critics in the black community, but the baby hasn't been thrown out with the bath water yet.

WTF are you going on about now? Are you implying that the NAACP was some militant, reactionary bigot organization? Did you know that there have been non-white members of the NAACP for DECADES....and that it's detractors have been calling it a "shake down" group since it's inception?

Silver's statements are NOT the topic here per se.....as we all know it's all about the Benjamins until the bigotry becomes TOO public. I'm just saying that if the NAACP ever had a chance to turn the tide, now's the time!

Then it loses it's credibility as an organization standing against bigotry and racism, because you cannot take money from someone who openly spits in your face and then IN OTHER AVENUES AND VENTURES acts upon his contempt and disregard for you as a human being.
