Tide shifts, Democrat elected to House!

There's no tide shift. The Democrats have won every single House special election since Obama was elected.

Well, thats a good point. I should change it to, "LIBERAL" media is wrong!, no shift against Democrats exists!

As Nigel pointed out, I was wrong its not a shift, its the pervailing current relating to house elections.

Just how many special elections have there been for the House? I know NY had one around the time the Reps took the governors seat in NJ....

Which others?

Also why would republicans do great in midterms if they aren't winning in April?

Aren't winning WHAT in April? The one seat up for grabs? Which just happened to be in a district tilted 2-1 for the Dems?

The Reps are not likely to carry many districts in November that are that heavily tilted against them either. But the districts that Dems hold that are more balanced or that lean towards Reps, THOSE are where the danger lies in terms of the Dems losing seats.

In a hotly contested race here in a neighboring district to my home... Ted Deutch, a Democrat defeated the Republican in his effort to get elected to the United States House of Representatives.

Democrats WIN!

Democrats are probably going to lose big time in November, for three primary reasons:

1) The economy still sucks for normal, working people.
2) Obama isn’t offering the kind of change his campaign rhetoric implied; people wanted a complete paradigm shift; an FDR populist – not a Bill Clinton triangulator.
3) The GOP minority has made it their sole priority to make the nation ungovernable with obstructionism, and filibustering pretty much everything.

The only bright spot is that Dixie is predicting that Democrats are facing a bloodbath..... and we all know Dixie’s “predictions” are always the exact opposite of what actually transpires. Plus, with any luck our nefarious CrashTheTeaBagParty scheme will cause the Tea Bag partiers to crash and burn in a hilarious display of paranoia, emotional breakdowns, and racism.

They're already suspecting each other.

Some fights have broken out when loyal Teabagtards were mistaken for "infiltrators" by their ignorant brethren.

Hilarious how their love of conspiracy theories and penchant for violence will destroy them from within.:clink:

So you don't think a democrat stronghold that was "hotly contested" by a republican going to another democrat (was dem Wexler's seat) is actually a further warning to dems???
