You know - when someone who wants to be CIC implies that he doesn't "like" brave soldiers who served their country and ended up as POW's, and says the "only" reason a famous POW is considered a "hero" is because he was captured...you certainly think that's it. That's the end of his political career.

Nope. And not with a few dozen comments since that which are equally outrageous, and not in the spirit of what it means to be an American.

But now? Openly suggesting that we trash the Constitution so he can be installed as President?

That's gotta be it, right? I need to have my faith in America and humanity as a whole restored.

Nope, they still love him after, Lets suspend parts of the Constitution so I can be president again.

I have heard predictions of Trump's demise in the GOP too many times to really take them seriously.

I see no evidence that the short and chubby Desantis is the kind of politician who can withstand months of lies and cruelty from Trump in a GOP presidential nomination campaign.

If Desantis fades away, almost all the establishment Republicans will crawl on their hands and knees back to Trump

This time it may be the real thing. His endorsement used to be golden. Last election it was a dud and his call to nullify The Constitution for his personal benefit is a killer, and not something to be excused as a joke. I agree DeSantis is unlikely, maybe more on his own account than anything Trump says about him.
