That applies to you too, WWW, get a job.
I have a job. If I lost that job, I have more than enough money from investments to survive. I have a reservation to eat Thanksgiving with my family at a restaurant, which I will pay for with my money.

Sure you do, WWW, a job at Uber Eats.

All work is inspirational, all work is not aspirational, WWW.

When I had Covid, I used DoorDash. I do not know the numbers, but I always get the feeling that the compensation(minus costs) are less than would be appropriate. But I admire their drive to work. They work hard to make money, and that is not something I would feel good about mocking.

Earl, you ever have a low paying job? I haven't had a low paying job in 30 years, but I still remember what they taught me... Mostly how much it sucks to have a low paying job.

No, WWW, I had a good paying job right out of Vandy.

It wasn't a high-end scale job but was more than adequate.

I did say that all work is inspirational but not aspirational...agreed?

Do you know the difference between inspirational and aspirational, WWW?

I suppose you had no jobs before graduation. Yes, I can see it all in your hatred of people who work low paying jobs.
No hatred, WWW.

Just disdain for people like you who are willing to work for low wages.

Go to a trade school...plumbers make good money.

I had an athletic scholarship, plus my dad was well off.

I did work in the ME dept for a semester.

You are at least open about it.

Go to a trade school...plumbers make good money.
You do not get how trades work, do you? I worked construction from 12 to 18, and to become a plumber you have to take a low paying job as a plumber apprentice. And to get that job as a plumber apprentice, you have to have other jobs. No one is hiring a plumber who has never been employed.

So, you worked a construction job for 6 years, Walter.

Why...were there no other higher paying jobs that you could qualify for?

I had a prof who once told me that he was going to work a construction job in the summer...to see how the
"little people lived." True story, WWW.

I slept in yesterday afternoon ...an old baseball injury.

What's your excuse for staying up most of the night?

Yes, 5 or 6 years.

Why...were there no other higher paying jobs that you could qualify for?
There was a brief point that I was a signed professional athlete, which was higher paying, and I did some programming jobs, that paid about the same as construction, but for a teenager construction is about the highest you can get paid.

You wouldn't understand, because you did not work as a teenager.

Most of the work I do is when the markets are closed and settled, so even when I am not working, I tend to be up at night. I also needed to do some teleconferencing with associates in Europe. Not to mention that computer people naturally stay up at night.

I did work as a teenager, in the religion library at Vandy, which was beneath the main library stacks. I sneaked up and perused the main library books when traffic was low, as it was, most of the time.

I also worked in the ME dept at Vandy, as I told you, as a teenager.

Pay attention, WWW or are you getting drunker?

So you lied when you said you never had a low paying job? Did you have disdain for yourself while you had a low paying job?

No, did you WWW?

Do you believe that my job in the Religion Library was high payimng?

It was a request by my father.

That's disdain for an adult, 25 and up, WWW.

I have disdain for slugs...like you, with zero ambition to improve your lot in life, WWW.

Stone and Earl have contempt for most of the world, Walt. Something is broken in both of them...and apparently "contempt for the world" is what they have chosen as therapy.

Much easier to feel pity for them than to attempt to reason with them.
