This Just In.......Obama "Tops"! (from 2009)

wonder how they feel about that now......

I mean, it's not every day that some organization like this names a president 'best in US history' based on his plans alone.

Very funny, they like him best if he delivered on all his plans. Even democrats feel sold out by Obama on his two wars, prohibition which affects young minorities most, jobs his stimulus fell way short, his cost cutting fell way short. I say they were sweapt away with hope and change glee. He's way better than bush, and he may yet be best ever if he mans up to the opposition.

Wai a second poet tipped me off Obama stole the strategy from schrwatznager.
hear me know, believe me later!

Or was that Hans n franz?

by not quoting the full story you missed the funniest part....

Not wanting to be seen as premature, a spokesman for the group stated that based on what the president has planned for the country, and assuming all campaign and inaugural promises come to pass, Obama’s legacy will absolutely trounce that of all previous occupiers of the Oval Office.

in other words, they had HOPE that he would be the greatest.............based on what actually happened........not so good........

I really cannot see that how any president faced with the worst financial crisis in 80 years would have fared any better. I think the basic problem is that Americans have got used to quick fixes and easy solutions. Those days are over, although it's going to take some time for people to realise what that means.

is that the pitch for the re-election campaign? that 4 years wasn't enough for anyone, so give him more time?

Read your comments above. You hit on the problem.... but that doesn't mesh with your first sentence.

Americans have gotten used to the quick fix. We haven't felt prolonged periods of pain. The problem with Obama is he is ALL about the quick fix. No long term solutions. Just what will push the problem past his re-election.... and to be fair, that is what almost every single Dem and Rep in Congress is doing as well (all the while pointing fingers at others for doing nothing)

I'm not qualified to answer that question. Neither are you.

I disagree. I think with a few exceptions, the majority of people are just as qualified to award the Peace prize as those that sit on the Nobel committee. You are certainly intelligent enough to ascertain whether or not Obama has accomplished anything towards 'Peace'.

Since you put it like that.....yes, he is deserving of the award. But that is not to say that the Nobel committee is not uniquely qualified, which makes my opinion, null and void.
