I might also point out that same sex marriages are not legal and the sex you were born with is the one you stay with regardless.

Thai ladyboys pose with certificates that exempt them from national service at army recruitment centres across the country at annual event
People who were born male but identify and live as women are known as katoy
In Thailand all men over the age of 21 have to report for national service
Katoys are granted exemption if they are can produce a certificate from doctor
