I find it shocking that that party of "personal resonsability", the party that promoted the expensive war in Iraq and tax cuts at the same time. (the only time in history thats been done). Does not want to pay for the aftermath of those decisions.

Give me everything I want from my government but dont make me pay for it....

SICK behavyor from the Conservatives...

What are you ranting about, exactly?

What's even more disgusting is the fact that democrats on the lef campaigned on an end to the war, and not only continue it, but started ANOTHER TWO conflicts (well, they committed us to them anyways).

To play along with Jarod they did this while extending the Bush tax cuts. Of course he'll say they don't claim to be a party of personal responsibility so it is ok when they do it.

He'd also be ignoring all the 1st termers in congress right now, who didn't vote for any of those things.

Jarob praised Obama for the military action against Libya. In other words:

Republican war = bad
Democrat war = good

He's another run of the mill lib.

The war that Obama promised to end has ended.... Another two conflicts? Are you talking about our supporting role in Lybia? What other conflict did Obama commit us to?

No, I was against the full extension of the Bush cuts, but extending them is not as bad as enacting them in the first place.

Do you realize our tax rates are the lowest they have been in 50 years?

Jarod thinks he is being 'clever'.... he has no clue that he has no clue. Hence his non-stop moronic posts.

Name calling without any specific argument makes your side look weak.

And BTW, I am not talking about the specific members of Congress, I am talking about those who supported them.

Do highlight your 'specific arguments' here Jarod

You make a proclamation with NO evidence or specifics. As I stated, you have NO clue that you have no clue. You are a fucking idiot who thinks he is being clever.

definition of hack

extending them not as bad as starting them. thank internet lawyer LOFL

Are you claiming that the Republicans did not support the War in Iraq? Are you claiming that Bush did not enact a tax cut? Surely I do not have to provide cites to those claims do I ? BTW, nothing is highlighted.

see... you are too fucking ignorant to even comprehend your OWN post....

"Does not want to pay for the aftermath of those decisions."

THAT is what you have to justify. Making that statement with NO evidence.... you are simply spouting off a very weak talking point. But again, you are too much of an idiot to realize how friggin retarded you sound.

The above is also yet ANOTHER example of a post where YOU think you are being 'clever' or 'intelligent'... yet it simply makes you look ignorant all over again.

Look, that war coupled with tax cuts caused untold economic turmoil and an explosion in the national debt. Now, you guys want more tax cuts and you blame the economy on high taxes... When taxes are lower than they have been in decades.

Almost every respected economist warned that huge increase in spending on the war while lowering taxes would cause what happened..... and would result in the need for massive government spending to bring the economy from the brink. Now that it happened, you want more tax cuts.

ROFLMAO.... WHAT untold economic turmoil you moron? The economic turmoil was in large part due to the FINANCIAL sector you idiot. Not the war spending or the tax cuts. Revenue as a percent of GDP remained fairly constant throughout the 2000-2008 time frame. It did not drop significantly until after the financial sector imploded sending us into a recession. THAT was created in large part due to the repeal of Glass Steagall, which led to the WS investment banks to be able to take on insane levels of risk. Bush did nothing to help prevent the implosion, but to proclaim the tax cuts and war were a large driver is simply idiocy.

Do tell us who is blaming the economy on high taxes....

Do provide us links to some of those 'respected' economists comments.

The 'massive government spending' again has little to do with the tax cuts....

Do continue pretending you have a clue... it is quite amusing.

From 2000 to 2001, revenues as a percentage of GDP dropped 1.1%. From 01-02 they dropped another 1.9%. From 02-03 another 1.4%. From 03-04 another 0.1% (cumulatively 4.5%). The numbers improved from there, peaking at 18.5% (still 2.1% less than in 2000), only to drop again in 2008. At first blush these figures may look small, just s few percentage points, but when you're talking about an economy the size of the United States, this is serious money. Pretending that revenue as a percentage of GDP remained fairly consistent throughout the 2000-2008 time period is nonsense.

Of course, Jarod is incorrect as well in insisting that the tax cuts and wars led to the recession, but he is indeed correct that they are the lion's share of the debt problem.

Closing some tax loop holes for large corporations that are making HUGE profits and cutting some spending will do the trick.....

Thats all that needs to be done, but then if they did that they could not call Obama a socialist big spender who has no self control and has gone wild with the national treasury.
