I believe that I've tried to tell you about the principle of falsification before, obviously you need reminding.
Argument from authority is the first line of defence for people like you. You need to understand the asymmetry between proposing a theory and refuting one. To propose a theory about climate you need to cobble together a vast number of different disciplines and produce a consistent result. To destroy such a theory you can be as ignorant as you like about most of the theory but simply be able to produce a single flaw, this is the principle of falsifiability. You could say to me that all swans are white, yet it is logically possible to falsify it by simply observing a single black swan.
Aristotle claimed objects fall with a speed proportional to their weight. This was accepted for nearly two thousand years until Galileo disproved it with a simple experiment. Anyone could do the experiment, so why did the world believe Aristotle for so long? I assume it’s the “taboo” of arguing with the authority. Even Galileo got himself into trouble with the authority of the Catholic Church, and it took them 500 years to admit Galileo was right.

Further discussion with you, for want of a better word, is totally pointless. You have a closed mind that is incapable of independent thought.
I dont buy into spending billions on global warming projects simply because there are too many experts on the pro and con side of it. There is no real concensus.
Science is grant and donation based and to keep those grants coming so they can keep making a good living they need to find something sensational every now and then to keep the money coming.
Many of those findings get disproved or changed later on. They tell you this one day and its the other way the next.
When I was a kid in school they taught us that the earth was freezing and that there could very well be another ice age the same ice age that they thought then killed off the dinasuars. Now thats all out the window. Is global warming going to be out the window in 20 yrs ? Who knows even they dont know.
Scientists all rush to make a breakthrough to get themselves in a book somewhere or get additional sources of funding.
I cant buy global warming and the HUGE subsequent expenditures that come with it. We have too many other problems that are proven to deal with first.

All things being the same, if the rolls of the left and right, ie, Dem. and Repub. were reversed, desh would be whining about the fake science, falsified data, and nutty
predictions of and iceage in the 70's
Her only consideration when determining what side of an issue to take is 'what side do the Democrats take'.....that will be her side no matter what the issue is or what
the facts are....

That appears to be the case with many not just her, science and politics should never be mixed. She does bother me though, there are moments when I detect some sentience and then she goes off on one again.
It is my view that plumbers know more about plumbing than do elephants, and that the people to consult about climate are climatologists. I don't see posts from Abraxas, but I assume this is the usual old flat-earther drivel. How can the totally ignorant believe they know more than educated people? It must be the Elders of Zion, at it again!

What exactly are Al Gore's scientific credentials? Any scientist worth their salt is a sceptic, to be otherwise is to be a charlatan. I have tried several times to explain falsifiability to her but I might as well talk to the wall.
